Ring By Spring

Before coming to Eastern, the phrase "ring by spring" was not something I was familiar with. What that is talking about is the large number of people who get engaged in the springtime thus getting their ring by spring. I haven't seen so much bridal fever in my life! I'm even going to my first Eastern wedding this May. I think it's safe to say that a good majority of the girls on campus have at least dreamt of having that ring that they will have hopefully very soon. I was talking to my roomie about it and we both admitted that we even get sucked up in the drama of wanting a ring that shows the love that your boyfriend has for you stating to the world that he wants to be with you forever. It sounds so romantic.
My roommate and I are 18 and 19 we have no business worrying about being engaged. I'm even more guilty of it than she is because after dating my boyfriend for a few months I started thinking about what would happen if we would spend the rest of our lives together. My boyfriend is absolutely amazing and wonderful and all of those other positive adjectives, but I doubt that I'm going to marry the man.
I'll let you in on a secret my friends; girls aren't the only ones that dream of being engaged. There are guys that are just a eager to find "the one". I guess if you want a MRS. to go with a BA or BS then Eastern is the place for you.

I wonder what the divorce rate for Eastern students is.

Welcome to Christian school.
